John Allmand, founded Allmand Boats  in 1965 (History Archives). A pioneer in building fiberglass boats at the dawn of the fiberglass era; building thousands of top quality pleasure boats from 16 feet to 34 feet and one off yachts. In 1977 John Allmand's brother Tom Allmand came on board.  Todd Allmand, began building new high speed off shore designs in 1993. The first high speed designed Allmand Boat model called the "Samurai" was introduced in the 1996 Miami Beach Boat Show  36 foot Samuai high performance open fisherman. Ordered by anglers, dealers and scuba divers wherever there was the need to navigate long distances 4 to 6 foot seas safely at high speeds. They sold from St. Maarten, to Miami, to Jacksonville to Nags Head. 

 By  1998 as a result of the internet global markets opened up. By 2000 the new Allmand Boats were selling  to dealers in the Dutch West Indies, India, Panama, Norway, Uganda and other countries.   

   February 2005 Todd Allmand went to Sri Lanka as a guest of Parliamentarian Mahinda Wijesekera,  Minister of Special Projects. Allmand Boats brought modern technology to the local boat builders and to Blue Star Marine after the tsunami of 12/26/2004.  The mission made possibly by private and Federal contributions as an investment in the  future.
